Privacy Policy
This policy explains how AI-Sholat handles your information, including why we ask for camera access and how we protect your prayer data.
1. About this policy
AI-Sholat is an Android application designed to help you stay consistent with your five daily prayers. It uses your device camera and on-device AI to recognise prayer positions and assist in counting rakaat.
This policy describes how we handle information in the app. It does not cover this website, which uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking.
2. Who is responsible
The AI-Sholat app is published by AI ShOLAT. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@aisholat.com.
3. Camera and AI
AI-Sholat asks for camera permission to enable AI-assisted prayer position detection and rakaat counting.
- On-device processing: All AI pose detection and image analysis happen entirely on your device.
- No transmission: Camera frames, video, or images never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- No storage: Camera frames are processed in real-time and are not saved or stored anywhere in the app or on the device after the prayer session ends.
You can grant or withdraw camera permission at any time in your Android device settings.
4. Prayer information
AI-Sholat stores information related to your prayer activity to provide tracking and history features.
- What is stored: Records of completed prayers, prayer dates, rakaat counts, prayer history, streaks, and Qada records.
- Cloud Sync: If you sign in, this data is synchronized to our backend (Google Firebase) so you can access it across devices.
- Local storage: A copy of your prayer data is kept locally on your device for offline use.
5. Account and sign-in
AI-Sholat supports account creation using Google Authentication.
- Information collected: When you sign in, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo from Google. This information is used to create your profile and manage your Prayer Circle.
- Requirement: Sign-in is required to use the Prayer Circle and cloud synchronization features. You can use basic prayer tracking features without signing in.
6. Prayer Circle
Prayer Circle is an optional social feature that allows you to connect with family and friends.
- Shared data: Members of your Prayer Circle can see your display name, profile photo, and your prayer completion status (e.g., which of the five daily prayers you have completed).
- Control: You decide who to invite or connect with. You can remove friends or leave a circle at any time within the app.
7. Location information
AI-Sholat uses your device's location to provide accurate prayer times and Qibla direction.
- Local use: Your precise location (GPS) is used locally on your device to calculate prayer times or fetch them from authoritative local providers.
- No transmission: Your specific latitude and longitude coordinates are not stored on our servers or linked to your account in the cloud.
8. Notifications
The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send prayer reminders and circle invitations. To enable this, a unique notification token is stored on our servers. Notifications do not contain your sensitive prayer history or camera data.
9. Analytics and Ads
AI-Sholat does not use any analytics, telemetry, or tracking SDKs. We do not monitor your usage patterns or collect data about how you interact with the app.
AI-Sholat is 100% ad-free. The app does not include any advertising SDKs and does not share data with any advertising networks.
10. Backend and security
We use Google Firebase for authentication, data storage (Firestore), and infrastructure.
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- Access Control: We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that your private prayer records can only be accessed by you.
11. Retention and deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active.
- In-app deletion: You can delete your entire account and all associated data (prayer history, profile, and circle data) at any time through Settings > Profile > Delete Account.
- External deletion: If you no longer have access to the app, you can initiate a deletion request on our Account Deletion page.
12. Children's privacy
AI-Sholat is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version will always be available on this page and through the app.
14. Contact
